Species: Chinchilla
Description: Gizzy is dark gray; Chilly is ebony
Age: Gizzy ~12 years old; Chilly ~5.5 years old
Gender: Female
Info: Gizzy & Chilly are sweet but shy girls. They would do best in a home with previous chinchilla experience, teens or adults, and the ability to have daily time out of their cage in a supervised play area. As social creatures, they do best in pairs and groups and must stay a bonded pair.
Chinchillas are naturally skittish, but will bond closely with their owners with time and enjoy affection and playtime. As with any smaller pet, you need to be sure you are approaching them slowly and respectfully as to not startle them and give them the time they need to warm up to you/your family.
They eat Oxbow Essentials Chinchilla Food, Oxbow Timothy Hay, Oxbow treats and the occasional Goji berry.
Requirements: Proper sized cage with plenty of hiding places, enrichment, play time out of their cage, proper diet and supplements.
