Reptar, the Leopard Gecko, came to us after being rescued by a wonderful family who realized she was in dire need of help. They pulled her from an unsafe situation and did their best to provide for her. When they had done all they could do, they reached out to us. We continued to work toward rehab but her little body had had enough. We were lucky to have the chance to meet Reptar and to have been able to show her the love and compassion that she deserved.
Handsome Cusco was originally part of a trio with Beni and Santi. Unfortunately, Cusco unexpectedly passed away overnight in January 2024. Enjoy running free over the Rainbow Bridge little friend. It was our pleasure to get to know you.
Musa, a sweet and fairly large Leopard Gecko, came to us in November of 2023. It turns out that this guy also has an adventurous streak. Unfortunately, while we were packing him up for an adoption event he slipped out of his travel bin and we have not been able to locate him. We've been searching all over and set up hides and a heat source around the house but he has not come back out. While we try hard to be perfect with our care and attention, we are human. These guys are quick and love to explore.
Santi was originally part of a trio with Beni and Cusco (who also has passed away). Unfortunately, Santi unexpectedly passed away overnight in April 2024. Enjoy running free over the Rainbow Bridge with Cusco little friend. It was our pleasure to get to know you.
It is with a heavy heart that we share that sweet Whitt has crossed the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. She fought hard, but her poor little body was just too weak and exhausted to keep going. Jenn was able to snuggle her right up to the end so that she would know just how loved she was.
It is with a heavy heart that we share that Pip, short for Pipsqueak, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. On 09/13/2024 we discovered that she had unexpectedly passed away overnight. This sweet little piggie came to us on 09/05/23 after being left on someone's front porch with no information. We were blessed to have had a year with Pip and to have given her lots of snuggles and a friend to live with.
Jellybean arrived in rescue with a lot of personality and spunk! Unfortunately, she also arrived with an injury that limited mobility in her back legs and appeared to cause internal issues. Sadly, after working with our vet and trying several things, we made the difficult decision to allow Jellybean to cross the Rainbow Bridge and be free of pain.
Rexanna arrived in rescue with a sassy personality which included telling you what she thought about being picked up! Unfortunately, she also arrived with eye issues and a small abscess on her face that had formed from build up in the small pocket on the side of her mouth. Rexanna was under vet care for her eyes and the abscess when she unexpectedly passed away overnight. Rest easy sweet and sassy girl.
Icarus came to the rescue as a future Animal Ambassador. Unfortunately, Icarus suffered an unexpected seizure like event and passed away shortly after. In was our honor to have had a chance to get to know and love such an amazing animal.
Sweet little Spot arrived with some health issues and was being treated by our vet. Unfortunately, despite her spunky attitude and fighting spirit, infection took over and we made the tough decision to let her cross the Rainbow Bridge before the infection and pain got any worse. Rest easy sweet girl.
This adventurous little soul was always the first one to poke her head out and see what you were up to when you opened her cage. She was also the first to snag a treat when offered. We will miss her curiosity.
Sweet little Bubbles was with us for a very short time before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. While we did not get much time with him, we are glad that we could provide him with care in the end. Rest easy little guy.
Sweet Lenore came in, cleared her quarantine, and even went out for two adoption events. Last week we notice she seemed a little off and had not been eating or processing food well. After a visit to the vet we were worried she might be having trouble with an egg and/or have a calcium deficiency. Despite taking her meds well, Lenore crossed the Rainbow Bridge sometime today. Rest easy little friend.
Lulu came in, cleared her quarantine, and was scheduled for adoption when she suddenly passed away. Upon conversation with our vet, it is likely that she experienced a cardiac event. Rest easy little friend.
Cookie Dough arrived at our door emaciated, suffering from MBD and a broken/infected jaw, and was literally being eaten by the crickets in his/her enclosure upon arrival. We could see exposed bone on his/her mouth. With our vet, we made the difficult decision to let Cookie Dough cross the Rainbow Bridge to be free of pain and suffering. While we did not get much time with Cookie Dough, we hope he/she experienced a little love in those last moments. Rest easy little friend.
Mr. Black was one of our recent intakes who was put on sanctuary status due to suspected illness and continued decline. This sweet and fairly tolerant little guy has kept us on our toes since arriving and we will miss him.
Marco Pagot, the father of Mr. Black, was one of our recent intakes who was put on sanctuary status due to suspected illness and continued decline. He passed away early one morning. After his necropsy was complete, we confirmed that both had enlarged hearts and livers. Rest easy little buddy.
Ande arrived ill and very thin. Unfortunately her age and health issues were advanced and with our vet, we made the difficult decision to let Ande cross the Rainbow Bridge. Rest easy little friend.
Anakin was a sweet boy who was dealing with gout. Unfortunately his gout was so bad that his joints were completely locked up and he could not move. With our vet, we made the difficult decision to let Anakin cross the Rainbow Bridge. Rest easy little friend.
Zard was a sweet and curious little gecko. Unfortunately, despite treatments, a Vitamin A deficiency cause her body to start shutting down. With our vet, we made the difficult decision to let Anakin cross the Rainbow Bridge. Rest easy little friend.
At nearly 15 years old, sweet Spikerella showed us that it was time to say goodnight. As her energy level and appetite decreased we knew her body was shutting down. With our vet, we made the difficult decision to let Spikerella cross the Rainbow Bridge. We were blessed to have had her in our care for the last several months of her life. Rest easy little friend.
Sweet little Squirt came to us as at just one year old with a variety of health issues compounded by lack of knowledge of proper husbandry. Due to a number of issues, we and our vet, made the difficult decision to let Squirt cross the Rainbow Bridge. Rest easy little friend.
